Tampa Information Technology Specialists (Tampa ITS) was founded in June, 2010. Our lead technician and founder is Don Scott. After retiring from the US Air Force from 26 years of service, Don saw a need for integrity-based IT services in the local region, and founded this local corporation on integrity-based principles.
From his years in service to our country, Don found that members in the Information Technology industry were either loved or loathed. He always sided on “love” and did everything in his power to ensure his customers were taken care of, no matter how big or small. Many times, his customer service skills switched customers from loathe to love. He truly cared about every project he was involved with, no matter if it was a mutli-million dollar campus rebuild to a single personal computer. He was often cited and lauded with “going above and beyond” the call of duty.
In his 26 years of service to our country, Don developed an unmatched skill-set. He was responsible for vast networks, from managing globe-spanning wide area networks to campus networks of 6,000+ local and international users. He also managed a personal computer repair organization for 3,000+ customers. Whether it's optimizing large campus networks, designing web sites or rebuilding a single personal computer, Don has done it all. He always prided himself with the motto “there is nothing I can't fix.” He created computer networks in the sandy deserts of Saudi Arabia, restored tactical networks in Turkey, and engineered solutions for missions in Afghanistan. Now, he brings his skills to residents and businesses in the Tampa Bay Area.
Tampa ITS is an active member of the Tampa Independent Business Alliance (TIBA), an organization founded on the principle of keeping professional commerce local. As a TIBA member, Tampa ITS is connected to more than 200 local independent businesses, from retail sales to consulting to real estate development. Tampa ITS is an integral part of what makes the Tampa Bay area great – world class self sufficiency.
